Deposit Operations - Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager provides essential support services to the Bank and its branches.  The Assistant Manager performs a wide variety of support in the Deposit Operations department.  They will also support the branches to provide exceptional service to its customers and to continuously improve upon the processes.  It also means ensuring the operational integrity of the Bank, full compliance of all applicable state and federal regulations, as well as the Bank’s own internal policies and procedures.

Must be a proactive self-starter with a Customer First Mentality, ability to communicate effectively with all constituents; manage multiple deliverables simultaneously; adhere to the Bank’s code of ethics and policies

We are looking for:

  • Review and process incoming automated clearinghouse (ACH) debits and credits daily (Core)
  • Manage the Federal Reserve intra-day balances to ensure proper funding for daily activities
  • Review and ensure accurate posting of Federal Reserve Bank in clearing items; ensure accurate records and reconciliations are maintained
  • Review and confirm accuracy of outgoing wire transfers originated in the Bank’s branches or by customer via internet banking, ensure wires are entered into FedAdvantage timely and accurately and that all required records are maintained to support outgoing wire transfers and that all related customer account maintenance is performed timely and accurately.
  • Ensure correspondent accounts (Federal Reserve Bank) are settled timely and accurately daily.
  • Review and process customer deposit account adjustments including chargebacks daily; maintain support for and prepare notices of adjustments
  • Review and process exception items including suspect stop, hold, insufficient funds, special instructions and unposted items by the established cutoff time daily
  • Review and reconcile automated teller machine (ATM) and customer ATM/debit card settlements; maintain supporting documents for reconciliations
  • Review and ensure funds availability, including delayed funds availability decisions, comply with Regulation CC quarterly
  • Manage ATM/Debit card Reg E claims & adjustments
  • Manage and reconcile Zelle transactions
  • Process merchant compromise events
  • Receive and resolve Regulation E disputes from customers in accordance with Bank Policy and Regulations E; maintain records to support decisions.
  • Maintain and process tenant lease security withdrawals and interest payments as instructed.
  • Work beyond scheduled hours to meet project deadlines and deliverables

Your Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of Deposit Operations experience
  • Working knowledge of banking operations, corporate governance, risk management, and relevant laws and regulations a plus
  • Knowledge of financial institution operating policies and procedures, state and federal banking regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
  • Ability to be organized and work independently with minimum supervision
  • Knowledge of Jack Henry & Associates CIF 20/20 core system a plus
  • Knowledge of faster payments industry (i.e. Zelle, RTP) a plus
  • Knowledge of lease security a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products a plus (i.e. advanced Excel)
  • Strong time management skills

Deposit Operations - Administrator

The Administrator provides essential support services to the Bank and its branches.  The Administrator will support the branches to provide exceptional service to its customers and to continuously improve upon the processes.  It also means ensuring the operational integrity of the Brank, full compliance of all applicable state and federal regulations, as well as the Bank’s own internal policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Process incoming automated clearinghouse (ACH) debits and credits daily (Core)

  • Manage ATM/debit card Reg E claims & adjustments
  • Monitor and reconcile Zelle transactions
  • Process customer interest payments as required; ensure accurate records to support interest payments are maintained.
  • Process merchant compromise events
  • Manage offsite paper archives
  • Support branch operations and administration
  • Work beyond scheduled hours to meet project deadlines and deliverables

Client Experience Manager - NY Locations

We are currently looking for a talented Client Experience Manager to help lead our branch in midtown Manhattan and Flushing, NY. In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the efficient operation of the Branch, ensuring all operational functions are completely and properly performed by the staff while conveying a feeling of trust, service, security and satisfaction to clients and employees
  • Provide leadership, coach, train and manage staff performance to support achievement of Branch sales and service goals
  • Oversee and manage Universal Bankers’ progress and career development                               
  • Open and close the branch; maintain and stay abreast of security policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory CIP procedures, CTRs, SARs and Bank Secrecy Act regulations
  • Conduct site visits with new and existing clients                                           
  • Collaborate with other Bank departments to resolve operational and customer issues
  • Review and verify various daily and monthly Branch reporting                                 
  • Approve transactions within designated limits

Your Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Three to five years of banking experience, in sales and service or in a branch, with the skill and desire to step up to a managerial role
  • A clear understanding of Branch operations and security
  • Demonstrated commitment to operational integrity, and adherence to policies, procedures, and banking regulatory requirements                           
  • ​Ability to manage competing priorities, strategically aligning resources and activities to meet Branch goals and objectives                                      
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Bank product lines

Assistant Branch Manager - NY & NJ Locations

Sales Management

  • Maintain existing client relations
  • Assist Branch Manager in developing and marketing to new and existing clientele
  • Cross sell deposit and loan products
  • Perform sales calls to potential clients
  • Attend networking and/or community events
  • Identify the financial needs of customers

Operation

  • Oversee branch operations and staff
  • Problem/ solve branch employee/logistic issues

  • Verify daily branch generated reports as listed in the Daily Assessment
  • Review and prepare items listed in the Monthly Assessment Report

  • Approve wire transfer entries
  • Check daily branch security cameras and monthly alarm testing
  • Open & Close vault w/ Head Teller or Teller (dual control)
  • Handling and resolve clients complaints and issues
  • Open and close the accounts
  • Oversees and check the teller cash limits and vault cash
  • Maintain monetary instruments, counter checks, debit cards and new account kits (dual control)
  • Approve transactions up to authorized limits
  • Review order for branch currency with Head Teller from FRB
  • Review cash shipment to FRB (dual control)
  • Performing and approving ATM settlement with teller (dual control)
  • Training CSRs and tellers with system applications and programs
  • Contact and resolve issues from other departments

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years branch management and operations experience, Assistant Branch Manager experience preferred   
  • Working knowledge of bank products, banking regulations and compliance
  • Business development skills with proven sales record
  • Excellent customer service and community relations experience
  • Expertise in staff training and development
  • Strong leadership, communication and organization skills; ability to work independently
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
