Main duties include managing all aspects of the global job placement services which are provided by the Ministry of Employment and Labour of the Republic of Korea(MODEL), Human Resource Development Service of Korea, and Korea Trade-Invest Promotion Agency (KOTRA).
■ Main Job
- Propose, create and implement global job placement strategic plans
- Collect vacancy details from employers and advertise available positions
- Match candidates to jobs to build of potential applicants
- Screen and shortlist candidates for employers to interview
■ External Relations and Development
- Network and develop relationships with corporate, service, research and educational organizations and employers in order to increase full-time employment and/or internship opportunities for both Korean and American young professionals
- Travel internationally to visit colleges and universities in South Korea for recruitment and special lectures on U.S. Jobs and Recruitment
- Travel domestically to provide global job placement services for Korean(Korean-American) students in the U.S universities and colleges
- Serve as the liaison with MODEL, Ministry of Education, the Korean Consulate General in New York, the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industries and private companies
■ Global Career Development
- Recruit skilled job seekers for both Korean and American companies(+200 companies)
- Design and facilitate workshops on a variety of career issues including resume writing, interviewing preparation and practice
- Oversee annual career fairs (+500 participants / +50 participating companies per fair)
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and keeps abreast of applicable federal immigration rules and regulatory update pertaining to the employment and or hosting of foreign nationals and J-1 program process
- Respond to internal/external inquiries concerning United States immigration rules and regulations regarding F-1 OPT, J-1, and H-1B Visas
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Korean
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.(VISA Sponsorship is not offered)
- Must be eligible to travel in Korea or abroad
Working Condition
- Working Hours and Days: Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day
- Annual Salary may vary based on working experience
- Working Location: Manhattan, New York
