1. Director of Finance / Adminstration

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Develop, implement, and enforce policies, procedures, and systems to continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department
  • Provide timely and accurate monthly financial reports, analysis of budget variances, cash flow monitoring, and endowment reports
  • Partner with senior management and board leadership to monitor the organization’s financial health and respond to current operations and the external financial environment
  • Manage relationships with banks, investment managers, external auditor, insurance broker, benefits administrator, facility services, and payroll service
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations, including payroll, accounts payable, revenue posting, endowment accounting, and general ledger monthly closings
  • Invoice preparation and invoice processing
  • AR/AP management
  • Accounting and financial reporting
  • Asset management
  • Managing the annual external audit process and liaising with group auditors
  • Reviewing and implementing corporate governance and other legal requirements
  • Perform advanced employee relations functions including support and counseling regarding personnel and job-related conflicts, problem solving and dispute resolution, managing employee performance issues, review, and assessment of termination requests
  • Ensure staff compliance with all personnel policies
  • Manage insurance relationship with broker to obtain adequate coverage, negotiate competitive pricing, and ensure compliance with insurance contracts
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects, including but not limited to, staffing project, evaluations, employee benefit management etc., as well as, serving as additional support to the team
  • Any other HR related tasks as well as the assigned administrative task
 
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or any other related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, General Administration and/or any other related experience
 
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY (BILINGUAL PROFICIENCY)
  • English/Korean: Proficient written and verbal communication skills

  • Hackensack NJ area
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Exceptional organization and multi-tasking skills
 
 
2. HR Manageer

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop HR strategies on resource planning, performance management, compliances, etc.
  • Execute various HR tasks and develop/maintain its related HR documents (e.g., onboarding, performance reviews, exit interviews, etc.)
  • Prepare various HR announcements intended for internal and external parties
  • Respond to various inquiries such as, but not limited to, benefits, payroll information from prospective and current employees across various communication channels (e.g., email, phone)
  • Handle various HR related cases in timely manner with accuracy (e.g., benefits enrollment/updates, case reviews, conduct investigations)
  • Assist with recruitment tasks as needed (e.g., application reviews, interviews)
  • Represent the employees as needed for certain HR matters
  • Ensure proper communication protocols are followed for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Promptly escalate any items requiring management’s attention
  • Administer vacation days and sick days for the employees
  • Gather and maintain personal documents and records in the available HR information system
  • Perform other duties as needed

 

Language Proficiency (Bilingual Proficiency)

The position requires seamless coordination between project teams in the U.S. and Korea. Bilingual proficiency is strongly preferred:

  • English: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Korean: Excellent written and verbal communication skills (preferred but not required)

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degrees and/or above required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in human resources management

Other Qaulifications

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without any restrictions
  • Candidate must be within a commutable driving distance to either Hackensack, NJ or Greenville, SC and is expected to commute as needed
  • No restrictions for overseas business trip
  • Pass a background check and drug test
