Branch Manager - Flushing Branch

Job Description:

  • Sales Management
  • Maintain existing client relations and VIPs
  • Develop and find new potential clienteles
  • Attend networking and/or community events
  • Conduct new and existing client site visits
  • Cross sell deposit and loan products
  • Oversee branch operations and staff
  • Problem/solve branch employee/logistic issues
  • Identify the financial needs of customers
  • Oversee and manage CSRs and tellers progress and career development
  • Contact and resolve issues from other departments
  • Review and approve daily overdrafts within limits
  • Review daily branch generated reports
  • Review and approve Monthly Assessment Reports
  • Verify daily branch generated reports as listed in the Daily Assessment
  • Approve transactions within limits
  • Review account maintenance performed by customer service

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 5+ years branch management and operations experience, Assistant Branch Manager experience preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to operational integrity, policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements
  • Strong community involvement and/or experience building partnerships with local businesses and organizations 
  • Ability to plan and manage staffing to meeting changing branch and customer needs
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, strategically aligning efforts and activities to meet branch goals and objectives
  • Demonstrated knowledge of bank product lines and services as well as an understanding of branch operations and security
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Adaptability, flexibility and ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings

Universal Banker - NY & NJ Locations

We are currently looking for Universal Bankers to work at our branches in Flushing, Queens, midtown Manhattan and Fort Lee, NJ.  As a central point of contact with our customers, our Universal Bankers make a key contribution to our growth.  In this role, you will perform a broad range of tasks of varying complexity and scope, including:

  • Meet with customers and prospects to develop an understanding of their financial objectives and needs, and recommend appropriate products and service solutions to meet their needs.
  • Educate customers about the value and benefits of suggested products and services.
  • Maintain strong product and sales knowledge and champion our core service values.
  • Provide sound advice at every customer interaction to create a positive customer experience and ensure that the customer’s financial needs are met.
  • Meet or exceed your individual sales targets.
  • Provide top-notch customer service and exceed customer expectations, especially when dealing with more complex transactions.
  • Solve problems independently.
  • Efficiently process a range of face-to-face customer transactions – from basic (such as check cashing, withdrawals, and deposits) to complex.
  • Balance cash drawers

 

Your Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least one year of related customer service and cash handling experience
  • The ability to make personal connections, engage customers and behave courteously and professionally at all times
  • The desire to work in a team environment and proactively collaborate with your colleagues to provide an outstanding customer experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to learn products, services and procedures quickly and accurately, and understand how to tailor product and service solutions to customers with differing needs

Loan Processing Specialist

We are currently looking for a Loan Servicing Specialist to set up and service CRE, C&I and SBA loans to small and medium-sized businesses. This position is based in our new corporate headquarters in Fort Lee, NJ, minutes from the George Washington Bridge. 

As a Loan Processing Specialist, you will:  

  • Prepare loan documents, disbursements and bookings
  • Enter new loans into the system
  • Ensure mortgages are recorded and all required filings are made timely
  • Review bookings, disbursement entries and initial tickler inputs
  • Prepare daily reports and reconciliations, including clearing/settlement accounts
  • Maintain legal balances for non-accrual accounts
  • Prepare monthly SBA 1502 reports
  • Monitor SBA portfolio for timely wrap-ups
  • Update and submit semi-annual reports to SBA
  • Prepare pre- and post-purchase packages to submit to the SBA
  • Monitor, review and update all tickler items
  • Prepare annual notification letters to borrowers requesting financial updates

 

Your Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least two years of experience servicing commercial loans
  • Familiarity with CRE, SBA and C&I loans
  • Understanding and ability to participate in the loan closing process
  • The ability to move between multiple projects to keep them all moving 
  • Strong detail orientation and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Advanced Excel), Jack Henry, and Laser Pro
  • Interpersonal skills that enable you to make personal connections
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express yourself clearly
  • A college degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally as needed
  • Fluency in English and Korean or Chinese helpful

Loan Portfolio Underwriter/Analyst 

We are currently looking for Loan Portfolio Underwriters/Analysts to oversee and monitor the Bank's portfolio of CRE, C&I and SBA loans to small and medium-sized businesses. This position is based in our new corporate headquarters in Fort Lee, NJ, minutes from the George Washington Bridge. 

  • Review industry information and comparisons, key risks and mitigating factors, and collateral to form a general business overview of borrowers and use results of analysis to underwrite and monitor commercial loans. 
  • Source, compile, and review financial data, communicate with customers or prospects, and perform analysis to recommend appropriate credit risk, risk ratings and loan structuring. 
  • Ensure new and renewed commercial loans are underwritten according to applicable regulations, procedures, Bank guidelines.                               
  • Perform timely annual and/or quarterly credit reviews of assigned loans; propose appropriate changes in risk ratings. 
  • Perform impairment analysis of non-performing loans and recommend charge-offs as appropriate. 
  • Process loan modifications in a timely manner. 
  • Review past-due reports and follow up as appropriate.
  • Work with legal counsel to manage and resolve loans in litigation and OREO portfolio. 
  • Conduct site visits as needed.

Your Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least three years of experience managing loan portfolios for a community bank handling CRE, C&I, and/or SBA loans
  • Strong underwriting and analytical skills. 
  • Interpersonal skills that enable you to make personal connections, engage customers and behave courteously and professionally at all times. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express yourself clearly, politely and firmly.            
  • Strong detail orientation and organizational skills.
  • A college degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for site visits. 
  • Fluency in English and Korean or Chinese required.
