POSITION OVERVIEW: Bonchon is an international restaurant concept know for our delicious, signature Korean double-fried chicken. Our 340+ restaurants are in 8 countries around the world and both our fan base and number of restaurants are growing rapidly. We have 90+ locations in the US and our domestic growth rate is one of the best in the industry. We’re looking for our first official HR leader in the US to help us make sure we take care of our most important asset, our team members.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: The right candidate will have an amazing attitude, understand both Korean and American culture, have multi-unit restaurant/retail experience and the skills to create new HR programs and policies. Despite our size, this is a ground floor opportunity so an entrepreneurial spirit is a must-have quality.
This candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 7-10 years HR management experience and be bi-lingual in both Korean and English. This role requires knowledge of current HR policy trends and laws and an ability to positively influence people across the organization.

Restaurant/retail HR experience (Minimum 7 Years)
Depth of knowledge in HR laws, policies and procedures
Lives within commuting distance of mid-town Manhattan (NYC)
Experience building and motivating a team
Knowledge of restaurant salary and benefit standards
Experience working with a franchise-centric business
Ability to travel (infrequent)
