Senior BSA & OFAC Transaction Monitoring Analyst - Fort Lee Office

Job Description:

The Senior BSA & OFAC Transaction Monitoring Analyst is responsible for managing the timely case investigation of potential money laundering, terrorist financing crimes, and BSA/AML violations, by utilizing an AML software application, customer and enhanced due diligence information, referrals from business lines and open source intelligence such as negative media, internet research, and information from law enforcement. This position completes investigative work leading to Suspicious Activity Reports; partners with branch personnel as it pertains to BSA/AML issues; conducts reviews of customers identified as higher risk; and, keeps thorough and timely records of completed work.

Job Requirements:

  • CTR and SAR write up experience 
  • CAMs Certification a plus
  • This role will report into Fort Lee Office location

Universal Banker Trainee - Manhattan Branch

Job Description:

  • Meets with customers and prospects and develops understanding of other financial objectives and needs. Assesses customer information and suggests appropriate product and service solutions. Sells customers on value and benefits of suggested alternatives and closes sales.
  • Maintains strong product and sales knowledge and champions core service values.
  • Provides sound advice at every Customer interaction to create a positive Customer Experience and ensure that the Customer’s financial needs are met.
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding specific individual sales goals.
  • Provides exceptional Customer service by meeting all Customer demands as they relate to relatively more complex transactions and assisting less experienced personnel.
  • Solves problems independently.
  • Performs a broad range of tasks of varying complexity and scope.
  • Processes Customer transactions face-to-face for a variety of routine to more complex financial transactions including but not limited to check cashing, withdrawals, and deposits.
  • Responsible to balance cash drawers and assists Customers with basic product information
  • Responsibility to assist in exceeding service goals by minimizing Customer wait times and accurately and efficiently processing Customer transactions while providing exceptional Customer Service in addition to recognizing referral opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Entry level position, willing to train
  • Minimum 6 months customer service experience is required; cash handling experience preferred
  • College degree or military equivalent strongly preferred; High school degree, GED or foreign equivalent required
  • Ability to make personal connections, engage customers and always be courteous and professional in a team environment and proactively collaborates with others to help customers
  • Strong communication skills; understands how to tailor product and services solutions to customers with differing needs and offer appropriate recommendations
  • Ability to learn products, services and procedures quickly and accurately to meet policy and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work branch hours
  • Fluent in Korean a plus
  • Fluent in Chinese a plus

Relationship Manager - NY/NJ

Job Description:

  • Generating new business from the customer demographic defined in the Bank’s Strategic Plan
  • Professional and Retail Businesses located in close proximity to a KEB Hana Bank USA branch with revenues up to $100 million
  • Businesses with ties to the Korean community
  • Professional and Retail Businesses with ties to the Chinese community 
  • Experienced Commercial Real Estate investors with financing needs between $1 million and $5 million
  • Works and makes calls independently to develop new business
  • Responsible for growth goals (Commercial Industrial including SBA guarantee lending) 
  • Makes calls independently and invites internal business partners to join as a development opportunity.
  • Gathers financial and general business information and explains products and services offered.
  • Communicates credit decisions to prospects and Customers as directed to close the sale and negotiates specific terms and conditions for loans within parameters defined by credit decisions.
  • Develops market expertise and/or target niche industries in the assigned territory. Maintains established and larger market presence. 
  • Actively generates referrals to all business partners in the bank to help meet the comprehensive financial needs of borrowing entity. 
  • Meets regularly with internal referral sources to establish business relationships and develops network of outside referral sources for new business. 
  • Develop community relationships, through CRA initiatives and membership in civic and professional organizations, including active participation in networking events. 
  • May help educate and support Branch Managers and staff about products, lending process, and closing loans.  
  • Prepares and submits all reports required by management, including call/pipeline and expense reports, in a timely manner. 
  • May prepare management reports summarizing individual and team loan activity. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
